1 What the Extension processes
When you type or paste into a supported AI chat site (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, Perplexity), the Extension inspects the text locally in your browser to detect patterns you have chosen to watch for (for example secrets, ID numbers, contact details). This processing happens entirely on your device, in real time, and is not transmitted to ReadyStrike.
2 What is stored, and where
The Extension stores the following only in your browser's local storage on your device:
- Your settings (which categories are enabled, mode, masking preferences).
- A local history of flagged events. Detected sensitive values are masked before being stored (for example
408-XXX-XXXX); the raw value is not retained. - Your license key and consent record.
You can clear the history at any time from the Extension's settings. Uninstalling the Extension removes this data.
3 What we collect on our servers
Nothing. The Extension does not send your prompts, your detection history, your settings, or any personal information to ReadyStrike. We operate no analytics, tracking, advertising, or telemetry in the Extension.
4 Alerts you choose to send
If — and only if — you configure an alert destination (a webhook URL or an email service such as EmailJS), the Extension will send an alert to that destination you specified when a flagged event occurs. That alert may include the type of information detected, the site, the time, and masked samples. ReadyStrike does not receive these alerts; they go to the service you chose. You are responsible for the privacy practices of any third-party service you connect. If you configure no destination, no data is sent anywhere.
5 Permissions and why
- Host access to specific AI sites — to read what you type there so it can be checked. The Extension runs only on the listed AI chat sites, not on other websites.
- storage — to save your settings and local history on your device.
- notifications — to show you an on-device alert when something is flagged.
- alarms — to schedule the optional daily/weekly summary you can enable.
6 Children
This Extension is intended to be installed and configured by an adult (for example a parent or guardian) on a device they own or administer. It is not directed to children as users. If used to help protect a minor, the administering adult is responsible for any required consent and for lawful, transparent use.
7 Data sharing and sale
We do not sell, rent, or share your data. We do not have your data to share.
8 Security
Data is held in your browser's local storage and protected by your operating system and browser account. Sensitive values are masked at rest within the Extension's history.
9 Your rights
Because your data never leaves your device, you control it directly: view it, export it, or clear it from the Extension's settings, or remove it entirely by uninstalling.
10 Changes
We may update this policy; the "Last updated" date will change. Material changes will be reflected in the store listing.
